This was the first model for the back side of this emptynester development that included an elevator. In order the get the lake views, you entered these homes at ground level and walked upstairs or took the elevator to get to the main living space.
We were able to utilize our Aging in Place training to create a visually attractive, yet functional space.
As others were leaving the space open and thus providing no storage space, we added an interior wall across from elevator to accommodate the refrigerator and cabinets, yet still compliant with aging in place guidelines.
Since your first view was down below and you had to walk upstairs before seeing the home, we worked with a decorator to make the entrance way appealing and draw your eye through the room once you got upstairs.
